These effects imprint observable fast time variations on the neutrino luminosity, which can be detected in IceCube. Despite the fact that IceCube will have no energy resolution for Supernova neutrinos, the time varying signal will be detectable over the background noise. If observed, these fast time variations of the neutrino luminosity will lend a big support to the Standing Accretion Shock Instability supernova explosion mechanism.
