Numerical experiments on climate of land planets using an atmospheric general circulation model

Abstract:
We performed numerical experiments on climates of land planets which have extremely less water on their surfaces than the Earth. Abe et al. (2011) showed that complete evaporation of all surface water occurs on land planets with increased insolation. The occurrence of complete evaporation considerably influences the habitability of land planets.
In this study, we reconsider the occurrence condition of complete evaporation on land planets using an atmospheric general circulation model.
