 Abstract: Abstract: 'New light gauge bosons could have an impact on the
evolution of several astrophysical objects. We derive limits
on new MeV-mass U(1) gauge bosons from the study of their effect
on the cooling dynamics of Supernovae. Such limits are particularly timely in light of the recently observed
anomalies in several cosmic ray fluxes. We also show how
the internal bremsstrahlung of these light bosons could greatly
boost the prospects for the indirect detection of dark matter.
