This scalar field turns out to be a viable candidate of dark energy accelerating the universe shortly after neutrinos become non-relativistic. In my talk I propose to present results on the dependence on the mass of the neutrinos with their location within a neutrino lump and argue that this profile might be consistent a positive variation of alpha cosmologically (suggested from quasar data) while satisfying the strong laboratory and geological bounds on its variation (from atomic clocks and the Oklo natural reactor).
