This model is double inflation, in which an exponential expansion period induced by one inflaton is followed by another by the other inflaton. Between two periods, the first inflaton oscillates near the minimum of its potential and the exponential amplification of its fluctuation by parametric resonance occurs. This leads to the appearance of a peak in the power spectrum of the curvature perturbation originating the quantum fluctuation of the inflaton. We present a model in which the primordial power spectrum has a peak in the observable region and discuss its effect on cosmological observation such as the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background.
