 Abstract: Inflation is known for its elegant mechanism for generation of primordial perturbations. However, inflation is not the only mechanism for seeding the initial inhomogeneities in the universe. I will discuss alternative possibilities, and their connection to inflationary dynamics via a shrinking comoving Hubble length.
